Mutt Masquerade: Animal shelter toys, snacks and fundraising events

Enjoy an evening masquerade and dinner in the presence of your puppy.

The Arizona Animal Rescue Team will host the annual Mutt Masquerade at the Mesa Country Club on Saturday.

Participants were invited to dress up their dogs for costume competitions and photo booths, providing props for pets and owners. In addition, there will be pet comic artists and puppy toys and hospitality bars.

Human events will also be held, including buffet and dessert bars as well as live and static auctions.

Although the mask is encouraged, the dress code for the evening is casual.

Individual tickets start at $125 and dog tickets start at $20.

The rescue mission was established in 2015, using 100% of its revenue for animal care and control in Maricopa County.

According to the site, the money helped the shelters in Maricopa County to purchase equipment, supplies and medicines. When the facility is full, the recue mission also helps the county move animals – including to different states.

The site says the rescue mission can save thousands of animals every year.

The website said, “We are raising funds to ensure that every animal in our county has access to quality care and the best opportunity to find new homes and love homes.”
